Hey Southern California!
Does anyone want to adopt a 10 month old female tortie and her white kitten?
To make a long story short, my boyfriend was going to adopt the tiny tortie kitten you see in the above photo from LA’s North Central Animal shelter on the first day she became available — but when he showed up on her release day at 8 am, the shelter said the kitten, along with her mom and a sibling kitten, had been given to a rescue group earlier than her official release date. I spent all day yesterday emailing rescue groups — and eventually, I found who was fostering the cats.
The rescuers aren’t keen to let us adopt the kitten now, unless we can also find a home that will take both the mom and remaining kitten. (Which, is upsetting, since we were already set to take the kitten from the shelter in the first place. This is a really frustrating process, believe me.)
If you or anyone you know would like to take on two really adorable, really sweet cats, PLEASE send me a direct message on Tumblr!
So we’ve been trying to get this mommy Basset Hound mix and her puppy adopted for around 2 weeks now. They have been through so much, from living on the streets to ending up lost and inside a animal shelter. And in this process the mommy lost a puppy :( but one still remains.
These dogs are such lovely creatures and deserve a wonderful home. Ive been fostering them for a week now, and today I start my second week that I will foster them.
It is hard for me to foster them because I have three other dogs that do not like the ones that I am fostering, but I try my best.
Anyway they are at the Petsmart in Alhambra, California from 3pm-8pm this coming weekend, and every weekend from now until they get adopted. Please spread the word and help me find these beautiful doggies a permanent and loving home. <3
((((( SIGNAL BOOST )))))
someone near LA please help.. take it from me there are no dogs more lovable than a basset.
My god I’d foster the shit out of these dogs if I didn’t live on the entire opposite side of the county. But I know a lot of Tumblr folks in California who should reblog this as a signal boost (or just go ahead and foster them)!!!

Hoot-Hoot I Scream was an actual structure built in 1927 on Valley Blvd in Rosemead. The head rotated; the eyes, made from Buick headlamps, blinked; the sign used elements of a theater marquee. After the war, the Hoot-Hoot Cafe was demolished.
