$19 for an Oktoberfest meal at Red Lion in Silver Lake
The best (and most authentic) German beer garden/sausage house/awesome place in Los Angeles is today’s Groupon deal. Seriously, I don’t care what your opinions on Groupon are — but you would be a fool not to buy this. Red Lion is a Silver Lake gem and my favorite hangout in the entire city.
$19 gets you a commemorative beer stein with beer — um, yes! — a pretzel and a sausage meal or platter. This is seriously enough food to feed two people, but if you’re particularly hungry, there’s also a “meal for two” option.
The beers they have on tap here are extremely delicious and wonderful. Do yourself a favor and get this excuse to visit Red Lion. Thank me later.
